Simplified PROCESS
We can help you from the first to last step



Step 1) Determine if your lot is suitable for an ADU by checking on the local city's website. Every city has a section specifically about ADUs that illustrate the requirement of your lot.


Step 2) Determine the use, size, and budget of the ADU. We offer a feasibility study which would include budget, size, design, and rental analysis. Decide if you will be using personal funds or using a HELOC or refinance.


Step 3) Work with us to create a site plan and drawings to obtain permits from the city. We have standard plans to minimize the complexity and in house architects.


Step 4) Once plans are finalized, we can work with you to work with the city to obtain approvals.


Step 5) Once we get city approvals, work begins. We will dig trenches for sewage and electrical lines and begin foundation work if needed.


Step 6) Framing begins.


Step 7) Decide on finishes. Is this for rent or for personal use?


Step 8) Move in yourself, family members or find renters! We can help property manage if need be!
